David W. Tralka David W. Tralka, President & Chief Executive Officer

David W. Tralka has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services.

As President & Chief Executive Officer of InsurBanc, Mr. Tralka is responsible for the future growth and financial success of InsurBanc. He continues to keep the bank focused on being a leading innovative provider of financial products and services for the independent agency community.

Prior to joining InsurBanc, Mr. Tralka served as Chairman of Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services in Princeton, NJ, part of the Merrill Lynch Global Bank Group serving 150,000 small- and mid-sized business clients with all their banking needs.

During his tenure at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Tralka held numerous senior management positions, including President of Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust in Princeton, NJ, and Chairman of Merrill Lynch Community Development Company. He began his career at Chemical Bank in New York City where he completed the Management Training Program.

Mr. Tralka holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA in economics from Cornell University.


Mary C. Grazen Mary C. Grazen, Executive Vice President and
Chief Operations Officer

Mary C. Grazen, a banking professional with over 25 years experience, directs all of InsurBanc’s operations and its deposit product portfolio. Ms. Grazen develops and continually monitors all deposit products tailored to the needs of independent insurance agents. She also ensures the effective delivery of all products with the greatest level of customer service.

Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Grazen served as Senior Vice President for Departmental System Services, at Advest Incorporated, in Hartford, CT., where she was responsible for developing, modifying, managing and installing technology solutions for the brokerage firm’s operations.

Ms. Grazen also served as Senior Vice President for Operations at Advest Bank and Trust Company in Hartford, CT., where she worked as a project leader and managed and developed the bank’s strategic plan, operating budget and systems implementation for the Operations Department. She also led the company’s “Y2K” compliance program.

Ms. Grazen’s career also includes management positions in planning and operations, as well as systems and technology, at the Bank of New England and Fleet Bank.

She is a former Regional Board Member of the New England College of Finance and serves on the Membership Committee of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.


Robert J. Pettinicchi Robert J. Pettinicchi, Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer

Robert J. Pettinicchi, a 25-year veteran of the financial industry, directs all lending activities for InsurBanc.

Mr. Pettinicchi developed and continually monitors InsurBanc’s loan policies and also chairs the bank’s Credit Committee. He designed the bank’s lending products for independent agents.

During his industry career, Mr. Pettinicchi, a commercial lending expert, has managed lending and credit operations at both regional banks and specialty finance companies.

His past positions include Senior Vice President and Division Manager at UPS Capital Business Credit in Hartford, CT., and Vice President and Regional Commercial Lending Manager at People’s Bank in Hartford, CT.

Mr. Pettinicchi’s employment history also includes Barclays American Business Credit Inc., where he served as Vice President and Senior Business Development Officer in the Special Industries Finance Division; and Bank of Boston, where he was Assistant Vice President and Credit Officer.

Mr. Pettinicchi is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS in Finance and holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Graduate School of Business.


Anthony Arsenault Anthony J. Arsenault, CPA Senior VP and Treasurer

Mr. Arsenault brings more than 20 years of financial services experience to InsurBanc. As Senior Vice President and Treasurer, he directs the critical areas of Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Administration, and his experience with InsurBanc since April 2001, when the Bank first opened, has given him the opportunity to be the primary architect of several critical policies, procedures and practices for the Bank’s accounting operations, budgeting, and asset/liability management strategies.

Mr. Arsenault is a registered CPA certificate holder in the State of Connecticut, and is a past instructor of accounting courses sponsored by the Southern New England chapter of the Center for Financial Training, (CFT). He has held Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, and is a graduate of Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.


Shirley Jacovino Shirley Jacovino, Senior VP and Risk Management

An extensive 26-year career in banking documentation and legal/compliance has aptly prepared Ms. Jacovino for her current role at InsurBanc. Most recently serving in a number of officer-level positions at Advest Bank and Trust Company, Ms. Jacovino was also an Assistant Vice President in the Real Estate Division of Connecticut Bank and Trust Company. She earned an Associates Degree from Boston University as well as certificates from many financial/banking colleges and associations. Ms. Jacovino is a founding member of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame and a volunteer for the Connecticut Forum.
